Digital Process Twins in Life Sciences February 20-21, 2025 – Gosselies, Belgium

20/02/2025 - 21/02/2025
Gosselies, Belgium

The focus of this training is to explore the application of physical science-based digital process twin technologies based on mechanistic and hybrid models within the bioprocessing sector.

This technology can significantly reduce the time and costs to bring products to market, whilst also providing confidence in control strategies that deliver the required quality standards. They can streamline R&D and engineering design activities through reduced experimentation while increasing knowledge of the process to assure manufacturing quality control (reduce risk), increase robustness and speed in development through to manufacturing.

Digital process twins in biotech manufacturing provide a detailed virtual representation of the manufacturing processes, allowing for real-time process optimization, operator training, soft sensing and advanced monitoring.

The training will cover the key underpinning technologies.

Attendees will have the opportunity to put theory into practice to cement the concepts and techniques covered during lectures via presentations, live demonstrations and guided hands-on exercises using modelling software accessed on virtual machines.

The training will prepare participants to leverage digital process twins for solving complex biological manufacturing challenges.
