Description

The FEMTO-ST Institute (Franche-Comté Electronique Mécanique Thermique et Optique - Sciences et Technologies, UMR 6174) is a joint research unit under the supervision of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), the Université Bourgogne Franche-Comté (UBFC) and the Université de Franche-Comté (UFC), the École Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et des Microtechniques (SUPMICROTECH-ENSMM) and the Université de Technologie Belfort-Montbéliard (UTBM).

It currently has more than 750 members, including scientific departments, shared services and management, and is divided into seven departments:
